The default Rainmeter tray icon looks really out of place in the Windows 7 system tray,
so I decided to make this one based on the style of Windows 7 system tray icons.
Another recommended icon replacement: [link]

Download includes ICO.

If you like it or download it, please :+fav:.

To change the Rainmeter icon, place the Rainmeter.ico file into Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Icon
and create the "Icon" folder is necessary.

Then add this to Rainmeter.ini (right-click tray icon -> Edit Settings):

[TrayMeasure]
Measure=CALC
TrayMeter=BITMAP
TrayBitmap=Icon\Rainmeter.ico

After that, restart Rainmeter and you should see the changes.

I was just looking at the log and it says there is a warning. Says it cannot find the bitmap, then displays the directory, the directory is the exactly the same and the icon is in the folder so I don't understand why it cannot find it.

I love this icon and I applied it in the skin settings awhile back, worked great but I just noticed it's changed back to the original Rainmeter icon. I opened edit settings and the ini code you provided was gone, so I re-entered it clicked refresh all and it didn't change, cannot figure out why. I also restarted Rainmeter, the ini is still there but no icon change. BTW I am using Windows 8, not sure if that could be causing the problem but like I said, it worked before.

There might be a change in the Rainmeter codebase, I can reproduce this with the latest beta. I'll look into it, and contact the Rainmeter devs.
